Welcome to history section of our site. My family has been in the "Canvas, Tent, Awning and Tarp" business since the 1940's. In this section you will find lots of history and funny stories about our business. We hope you enjoy this section.
Founder of Childres Canvas Products in the 1940's was Roy E. Childres. After his death in 1959 it was put in the hands of Jerry Childres. Gary Childres is now the driving force behind this company. Three generations of experience awaits your project.
Effie Childres worked along side Roy Childres in establishing this company. Effie Childres is Gary Childres's Grandmother.
Jerry D. Childres, this photo was taken in 1980 at his desk. He has done so much for so many people I've lost track, however those that do know him, respect him and always enjoy his sense of humor and his friendship....................
